Keeping Your Valuables Safe and Secure

After seeing this type of technology in each of BOLT’s lock designs, it makes perfect sense to use the locks for all my applications. I have a ’15 Ford F-150 as my daily driver, and it has a unique, side-cut key setup that is not like other keys. After visiting BOLT’s website, I was more than excited to see just how many products they offer.

Bolt Lock 5/8” Receiver Lock Install

Take out all the items from the packaging and get your Ford side cut groove key ready.

Bolt lock seal
Remove the sticker and lock seal covering the keyway.
Insert your side cut key fully into the lock. Rotate clockwise until it stops.
The lock has now permanently set to your key.

Bolt lock receiver
Now it is time to install your new BOLT receiver lock onto your truck. Simply place the receiver bolt through your hitch mount and click the BOLT lock on.

2” Padlock and 6’ Cable Lock Install

Remove the sticker and lock seal covering the keyway.
Insert your side cut key fully into the lock. Rotate clockwise until it stops.

tiedown anchors
My F-150 has the factory optional lockable bed tiedown anchors. This allows me to use the BOLT 6-foot cable lock to give a securable connection point to the 2-inch lock installed on my Pelican case.

Coupler Pin Lock

Take out all the items from the packaging and get your Ford side cut groove key ready.
Remove the sticker.
Insert your side cut key fully into the lock. Rotate clockwise until it stops.

Insert the coupler pin into the designated coupler area and slide the BOLT lock into place.

Off-Vehicle Coupler Lock

Remove all contents from box.
Remove the sticker and lock seal covering the keyway.
Insert your side cut key fully into the lock. Rotate clockwise until it stops.
The kit comes with two ball hitch sizes. For this install, my trailer uses the 1 7/8-inch ball adapter.
Install the supplied bolt into the plate as shown.

Using a ¾-inch wrench, tighten down the assembly until fully secured.
Place plate with ball attached into the trailer coupler and latch the coupler.
Places the supplied strap over the coupler and through either the forward or rear slots of the plate.

Adjust the strap height until it is snug with the pin installed. Secure the pin with the BOLT lock.

CONCLUSION

The folks at BOLT Lock have really done their homework. The installs were simple and straightforward. I love how easy it is to only have to use one key to unlock all five keypads.
