Up next Old no.37 | A Ford pickup that’s a Mcweeney Published on June 05, 2021 Author Chris Hamilton Share article Facebook 0 Twitter 0 Mail 0 A letter from the editor | Chris Hamilton Living the Life and Printing the Passion Like many writers and editors from magazines in the past, I tend to find myself completing important pieces the day before the deadline more often than I would like. No matter how many issues we plan out, and no matter how many times I look at the schedule, it always comes down to the last minute. Does that happen to you in your profession? I’m sure most makers would agree that not only do we turn to wait until the last minute, but it also happens to be when we do our best work. A few weeks of thinking bundled into one hour of writing is better than a couple hours of forced article entries for the ease of an early finish. If a custom hotrod builder begins a project before putting the right amount of premeditated mental mock-ups together, he may have missed an opportunity to make the outcome just a little bit better. Making it to the top doesn’t come by taking the easy road to early bedtimes. It’s a constant grind in one way or another all be it physical or mental. It’s how you take on those challenges that define you, and some late nights of content development won’t stop us from making the scheduled print date. This issue is stacked with unique and interesting truck content including some unbelievable mini-truck builds, an ultra-bright slammed Silverado and some exciting tech for you to follow. Part two of our OBS air suspension install begins on page 106 as we wrap up the rear end using Ridetech’s bolt-on parts. Also see how simple it is to protect your personals while driving a custom truck by installing a lockable console safe. Finally, sit back and filter through all the photos from this year’s massive Lone Star Throwdown event in Conroe, Texas. It’s another outstanding issue from the team here at Street Trucks, and you should have plenty to process until the next issue hits your mailbox. See you out there!
