After some recent rough experiences with some industry-leading lifted truck specific events, we thought this side of the truck show scene might never return to the family friendly, enthusiast driven lifestyle events we all went to when we were younger. We just assumed that if one modern lifted truck event was a bad experience, all other current lifted events would probably be just the same. Well, we were wrong! Receiving private messages and phone calls from event promoters I’ve never spoken with is a very rare occasion for my personal iPhone. However, a long-time industry trendsetter and event producer recently reached out to me and invited us to his long-running event called Lifted Truck Nationals, which we had heard of but never experienced. A good conversation and a special invitation go a long way, so we took him up on the offer and sent our top team of travelers to the show to see what it’s all about. Tucker and Jonathan spent the weekend with this group of gearheads discussing anything and everything related to trucks, lifted and lowered. It’s the same lifestyle, the same enthusiasm, with a different artistic expression when it comes to custom truck design. The entire weekend was just like we remember lifted truck events being in the past—a lot of hanging out with friends, handshakes and high-fives, cold beers being passed around and plenty of beautiful things to look at. This event checks egos at the gate, and if you have a truck or attitude that doesn’t fit the flow, you’ll be asked to find the closest parking lot and come through the spectator gate. Classy, comfortable, cool, calm and collected: That’s the perfect way to describe this event, and we implore other lifted-specific events to follow suit. This is the scene we all love; this is our pride and our passion. The Lifted Truck Nationals crew puts principle before profit, which is hard to do when the cash starts coming. This event is based in Missouri and happens once a year around September. Check them out online to catch the next dates and you can be sure that we will all be out there for this event. This is a great show potentially for our 2022 livestream series, so maybe we will bring next year’s event to you!
