The 44th annual F-100 Supernationals were held once again in Sevierville, Tennessee, at the Sevierville Convention Center. More than 500 vehicles entered the showgrounds to compete for Truck of the Year, Points Champion and many other awards. The event had the highest number of entries ever and also drew the highest number of spectators, with more than 6,000 crossing through the gate. One of the highlights was the unveiling of the late John Wayne’s just-restored ’78 F-350. His personal truck was purchased at his estate auction and restored to like-new condition. This past F-100 Supernationals was also famed promoter Charlie Cobble’s last. After 34 years and 117 shows, he decided to retire and spend some much-earned time with his family. Thank you, Charlie Cobble, for the many great years you have put into the show community. From the beginning with Mini Truckin’ Nationals to the F-100 Supernationals, it’s the end of an era. Picking up the torch is Danny Blackwell, along with his brothers Jeffery and Steve, and we can’t wait to see what they have planned for the event in 2022! It’s scheduled for Sept. 22-24. For more information, call 864-320-3692. Once again, thank you, Charlie Cobble, from everyone at F-100 Builder’s Guide and Street Trucks!
