F-100 Supernationals—All the Pics!
With 500 registered vehicles and more than 5,000 attendees, the 2022 F-100 Supernationals truck show proved to be another huge success! A new management crew took the lead and put their own unique spin on the show. Danny Blackwell, Jeff Blackwell, and Steve Miller made small changes, including a new vendor roll-in area inside the Sevierville Convention Center for a better shopping experience.
This squeaky clean 1971 Nardo Super Cheyenne is one you have to see. “I always had a good one (truck wise) but not a full-blown show truck,” says owner Doug Hayes. That said, the Air Force veteran purchased the truck that started the project you see before you from a farmer out of Nebraska as a daily driver, and then things…well, let’s just say they definitely escalated from there with a little help from his father.
In this product showcase, we highlight the new C10 chassis lineup from Total Cost Involved! It spans several C10 gens and chassis options, from 1963 through 1987 squares. We dive in a little deeper and show you some of the company’s latest and greatest full-chassis Chevy C10 offer-ings.
Everything about rapper Rick Ross is larger than life, so when he announced that he would be hosting a show at his own 235-acre property, word spread fast that this would be the event to attend in 2022. Touted by RR himself as the biggest show to ever hit the Atlanta area, The Promise Land show drew the slickest local rides, as well as plenty from other states near and far.
Tech This Out! Our ’49 Chevy Gets an S-10 Chassis Swap
While looking into chassis and suspension upgrades for our ’49 Chevy 3100 Advance Design pickup, we came across Robert Hertz from ADEngineering. Several options are out there for these trucks, from brand-new chassis to weld-in Mustang-II-style front cross members. Robert actually approached us to inform us of a chassis swap kit he produces for the 1947-’55 first se-ries pickups and Suburbans. We were definitely intrigued and started talking about using the kit for project Cindy.
“I wasn’t going for a full-blown radical build, but I did want something subtle, elegant and sporty that would be appealing to all truck enthusiasts like myself,” says Adan Ibarra. He owns Leading Edge Collision in Houston, and this fully customized 2020 GMC Sierra was supposed to be his shop truck—but then he decided to turn the longbed into a shortbed.
