Sergeant Square Update: About Mission 22
As we eagerly await the All American chassis to arrive, we give you a close-up look at Mission 22, the organization that will receive all the profits from this build. Mission 22 was founded by veterans. Most of the staff are veterans, spouses of veterans, or have immediate family members who have served in the US military. Mission 22 provides extensive, personalized support and resources to help veterans and their families thrive.
Our road crew captured another amazing event—the 2023 Lone Star Throwdown in Conroe, Texas! We recorded tons of great content for Street Trucks nation. While we dig through it all, here are our top 10 trucks from LST 2023!
There’s a certain advantage to growing up around automotive shops. The knowledge gained from being around shops can possibly be an overload at an early age and might steer you away from the family business. But on the other hand, if you embrace it, it can propel you to learn and go further than you ever thought you could—and that’s what Jason Froelich discovered when he built this ’66 GMC 1000 with a 327 SBC and staggered-fit 20s and 22s.
Everything’s bigger in Texas! From land mass to stadiums, it’s tough to beat the state’s impres-sive, larger-than-life monuments. One such place is AT&T Stadium (formerly Cowboys Stadium) in Arlington. Being one of the country’s largest, its size makes it the perfect venue for what will likely become one of Texas’ newest star attractions: the Summer Truckin’ Nationals.
A few of the many delights of any car and truck enthusiast are the possibilities and fantasies that we carry as children. Whether it’s posters on the walls of our rooms or Hot Wheels that we “modified” in the living room against our parents’ wishes, we grew up with fantasies about what we wanted to drive. Efrain Valdez of Manor, Texas, had his dream truck in mind since he was 8 years old: his own two-door Chevy Tahoe. But with the emergence of the rapidly selling Chevy Tahoe in the four-door version, it looked like his dream might never come to fruition.
In this episode, Salvage to Savage is turning our attention to the inside of the cab of this 1973 Ford Ranger. A supercharged coyote engine doesn’t do you any good if you don’t have a place to sit and drive it! We’re fabricating our seat rails for our TMI seats and installing our custom console. To install our Autometer LCD gauges, we’re cleaning up our wiring. We’re also getting all of our Rockford Fosgate audio hooked up, and much, much more.
