The Best of the Best: 73rd Annual Grand National Roadster Show
One of the top shows in the country for any and all gearheads, the Grand National Roadster Show hosts more than 500 show vehicles competing for awards, along with another 400-800 vehicles joining in on the fun. The 2023 show featured a special “Keep on Truckin’” section displaying 50 Years of Classic Trucks from 1948-1998. It featured F-100s, C10s, OBSs, vans, mini-trucks, and more.
“I basically wanted a well-rounded custom classic truck that could go anywhere and do anything,” says Dave Cass, owner/builder of this bolt-on road warrior. “I wasn’t really in a hurry to get it done, either. If figured if I set an overall goal, built it in chunks, and not allow myself to get stuck for too long on one part, I would have it looking good and driving right before I knew it.” Dave had one problem: He wanted his Chevy to sit low, but he wasn’t interested in piecing together an air-ride system. So, he turned to the QA1 experts for help—and help they did!
When it comes to truck shows that draw show-goers from all over the country, Southeast Minitruckin Nationals is one of the biggest. This year was their 29th annual, and it was no exception. Project Gibbles: E.C.D.’s Latest LT1 Range Rover Classic
E.C.D., one of the world’s largest Land Rover restoration companies, recently revealed Project Gibbles. Destined for a historic small town in the Sunshine State, the 1995 Range Rover Classic with an enhanced LT1 engine packs a punch for daily driving down cobblestoned main streets to weekend trips to the coast. Inspired by a vintage Porsche restoration, this one-of-one E.C.D. build is a fresh take on the optimal daily driver with its classic British glamor and twentieth century technology.
The latest tech from Street Trucks Magazine focuses on the restoration of a 1985 Chevy C10 pickup truck. The small-block Chevy 350 engine was running rough and needed a quick tune-up, so the team turned to Performance Distributors for a Street/Strip D.U.I. distributor kit.
The kit features a custom-calibrated advance curve and a high-output spark that allows for a larger spark plug gap and complete combustion of the fuel mixture for increased horsepower and torque. The LiveWires offer low resistance and high-temperature protection, and the billet wire looms provide both functionality and good looks.
