Eden Gonzales has been a fan of the many custom trucks that have rolled out of Complete Customs in McKinney, Texas, throughout the years. These trucks have all seen their fair share of modifications and inspired Eden to build something custom of his own. When it came time for him to snatch up a new “work truck” he decided to throw his own creativity into the mix and team up with Complete Customs for his build-up.
After finding the perfect luxury cruiser that was still rugged enough to make a statement at the job sites, Eden picked up an ’11 GMC Denali with high hopes of turning it into a wicked daily that was custom enough to show here and there and set it apart from the rest of the “usual” lifted work trucks across Texas. But Eden still needed something reliable enough to load up, tow and make long hauls for work. So his plan of attack was pretty straightforward and his vision began to come together.
Eden threw ideas back and forth with the crew over at Complete Customs, and they quickly laid the groundwork. Starting with an aggressive wheel/tire combo using 24 x 14-inch American Force wheels and 40-inch Interco tires, Complete Custom recommended going with the Bulletproof Suspension 12-inch lift giving plenty of clearance to stuff the giant wheel/tire combo into the fenders of the ‘Nali. Because of the altitude adjustment, a set of AMP Research automatic steps was installed to help passengers climb in and out of the now sky-high Denali.
Although a 12-inch lift and 40s isn’t the Empire State Building of lifted trucks, it’s more than enough for a Denali that sees plenty of hard-working miles and still needs to remain a functional work truck. Riding that fine-line of daily driver duties paired with an aggressive and wicked show appearance is exactly what Eden was after, and once he saw the new height adjustments and wheel/tire package he couldn’t have been happier. Next up, it was time to add the rest of the subtle touches to finish off this beast right.
A set of RBP HD bumpers was bolted up front and rear, along with a matching RBP grille. The stealth and subtle touches continued with the addition of custom carbon fiber exterior trim, door handles and custom interior touches throughout, compliments of Complete Customs, just enough to complete the high-end luxury theme and round out the mods nicely. Anyone who’s owned both slammed and lifted trucks will tell you that they each have their pros and cons, but at the end of the day, as long as the truck’s custom and its what you enjoy, then go for it! We cater to the best of both worlds here at Street Trucks, and as long as a truck’s bad ass, then we welcome it with open arms.
Job well done, Eden. The ’Nali is now the perfect “work truck.” Mission accomplished. Eden would like to thank the guys at Complete Customs, including Luis Sailas and Shaun Freilich.
